AT THIS VERY MOMENT, as I type this post, the House Appropriations Committee is deciding on whether or not to include Amendments to the H.R. Bill 3293, HHS Appropriations bill for FY2010.
Last night Representative Mike Pence presented Amendment #4, which is soon to be voted upon (it's on the floor right now as I send this message). This will disallow federal funding for Planned Parenthood. The challenge is that the Majority (democrats) of the House Appropriations is against it:
Please consider e-mailing and phoning right now *Pelosi's office:

Phone: (202) 225-4965
ALSO CONTACT:
Appropriations Committee Chairman, **David Obey (pronounced, "oh-bee")
Email: (unfortunately there is no email for him unless you are in Wisconsin)
Phone: (202) 225-2771 AND (202) 225-2771

This is what could be said in order to persuade the Democrats, the Majority of the House Appropriations Committee (who is now about to decide on this very important ammendment) :
Please pass along my opinion, that The Pence Amendment, Amendment number 4 of the Labor-HHS Appropriations bill for FY2010, H.R. 3293, BE APPROVED. I challenge the Majority to put aside partisan politics and rather, listen to the American people. The majority of Americans, both prolife and prochoice, do not wish for abortion to be the standard of society, as if it is a type of birthcontrol. No prochoice American looks at abortion as something with which to look forward --- as if it is a pleasant thing. A vote against the Pence Amendment says that Abortion should be the federally-funded method of birth control, rather than a choice that is never pleasant. Do not ignore the voice of your 'supporters' over partisan politics.
*Pelosi is a congresswoman who is the head of the Majority (Democrats) who are opposed to Amendment #4 on H.R. 3293 --- being presented right now to the House Appropriations Committee. This Amendment would keep federal funds from going to Planned Parenthood.
**Obey is the Chairman of the House Appropriations Committee.
In addition, you may wish to also contact your local Republican Minority representative who is on the House Appropriations Committee:
